Important notes regarding flight and entry planning
A multi-destination flight is recommended: outbound via Asunción, Paraguay, return via Foz de Iguaçu, Brazil.
Attention: There are two international airports very close to the Iguazú Falls, the Foz do Iguaçu/Cataratas International Airport (IGU) on the Brazilian side and the Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport (IGR) in Puerto Iguazú, Argentina.
Domestic flights are often significantly cheaper than international connections. Please take this into account when booking or organizing your return or onward journey. Currently, entry to Argentina requires international health insurance. Please have proof ready if you plan to continue your journey through or to Argentina.
Also, please make sure you have a valid passport, as entry with only an ID card is not possible.
